Signal Underwater Acoustic
The Signal Underwater Acoustic (SUA) has been
developed as a high explosive version of the diver
Recall Signal for use as an underwater signalling
device which represents an alternative to the Marine
Sound Signal.
Safe, robust and free from Rad Haz, the SUA, preset
to a specific depth, operates by water pressure. Its
body is of corrosion free plastic or treated
aluminium, unaffected by sea water.
Safety Features – an end cap ensures that the
mechanism is locked and seals the piston from
external pressure. When the end cap has been
removed, should the signal fail to reach its operating
depth, it will be deactivated by the potassium
bromide pellet dissolving and thus flooding the unit.
